We've been building a comprehensive picture of the Ahare River catchment since 2019.
From fieldwork done by volunteers with a notebook and a pair of wellies to scientific research from consultants and ecologists, here's what we've published so far:

Inch River Feasibility Study 2026
Currently in progress, this project is gathering perspectives from the local community along with everything we've learned so far to map out where action is most needed next and what that action should look like.
Funded by the River Basin Management Service (formerly LAWPRO) under the Community Water Development Fund.

Citizen Science Study 2019-2020
A full year of daily visits to understand the Ahare River catchment - by our chair, Cathy Lee.
With guidance from Karen Dubsky of Coast Watch Ireland and LAWPRO, Cathy monitored and recorded wildlife, water quality and water levels at Ahare Bridge and out at Clone Beach.
